Prof. Husnain Haider

Husnain Haider is working as a Full Professor at Qassim University, Saudi Arabia. He completed his B.S.c in Civil Engineering with Honors, M.S.c Environmental Engineering, and Ph.D. Environmental Engineering in natural water resources management from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Lahore, Pakistan, in 2010. Dr. Husnain completed his second Ph.D. in Civil Engineering in urban water infrastructure at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada in 2015. He also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Life Cycle Management (LCM) Lab of UBC Canada. During his 25-year academic and consulting career, he worked on various research projects on the sustainability of urban infrastructure and protection of the natural environment. Prof. Haider is the author of more than 150 publications, including journal articles, book chapters, and international conference papers. He is serving the editorial boards of various international journals.

Prof. Salem Alkhalaf

Prof. Salem Alkhalaf is an expert in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). He completed his PhD from Griffith University in Australia in 2013 and has been working in the field of education and research for over 20 years. He is currently a faculty member of the Department of Computer Engineering at Qassim University, Saudi Arabia. He teaches both theoretical and practical classes in the computer engineering department at the AlRass Branch. In addition, Prof. Alkhalaf also works at the University of Technology Sydney, where he is an Honorary Staff Member at the School of Computer Science and the Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. His research focuses on many ICT areas such as eGovernments, eHealth, eCommerce, cloud computing, big data, and metaheuristic optimization techniques. Prof. Alkhalaf has made great strides in the areas of renewable energy systems and healthcare data analysis. He is best known for his excellent work in the healthcare data analysis sector and his efforts to encourage students in Computer Science and Engineering worldwide.

Prof. Ibraheem Kateeb

Ibraheem Kateeb is a professor in the Computer Engineering department and completed his PhD at the North Carolina State University. He has more than 35 years of experience of teaching, research, and consulting for multiple universities and companies in the United States. His interests lie in Robotics, Electronics, and Renewable Energy; with more than 50 journals and conferences research papers to prove for it. In 2013, Professor Kateeb received the best research in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Journal Academic Excellence CARTS the industrial group in the USA. He is currently administering and managing the research at the College of Computer Research Robotics Center at Qassim University.

Dr. Hany Ammar

Dr. Hany Ammar obtained his M.Sc. & Ph.D. from Quebec University, Canada, in Advanced Manufacturing & Materials Engineering. His M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies were funded and sponsored by General Motors Corporation (GMC) in the United States of America and Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) in Canada. He has more than 15 years of experience in manufacturing, processing, and characterizing new materials/alloys, nanomaterials, and nanocomposite materials for engineering applications. He published more than 75 papers in high-quality indexed international journals. Since 2011, Dr. Ammar has participated in more than 15 funded research projects financed by different sectors in Saudi Arabia with a total budget exceeding 11 million SR. Dr. Ammar was the Director of the Research & Innovation Unit in the College of Engineering, he led the team to set the Engineering College research priorities and strategic plan for research and innovation.

Dr. Fawaz Alharbi

Dr. Fawaz Alharbi is an Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Qassim University. He earned his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, USA, in 2018. He holds an M.Sc. in Transportation Engineering from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio, USA, awarded in 2014. Dr. Alharbi’s research covers a wide range of topics in transportation engineering, including pavement design, traffic safety, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and the development of sustainable transportation solutions. He authored over 25 peer-reviewed papers in high-impact indexed journals. Dr. Alharbi has participated in seven funded projects, with total funding exceeding 500,000 SAR. These projects have explored critical aspects of transportation engineering, such as improving road safety, optimizing traffic flow, and advancing sustainable infrastructure. Dr. Alharbi's vision is to continue advancing the field of transportation engineering through the development of cutting-edge technologies that address the evolving challenges of modern transportation systems.

Dr. Ali Alsagri

Ali Alsagri is an Associate Professor at Qassim University’s College of Engineering, with a profound expertise in Mechanical and Energy Engineering. Holding a Ph.D. in Economic Engineering from the University of Dayton, US, he has 12 years of teaching experience. His research interests span economic renewable energy, techno-economic analysis, cogeneration, and energy storage systems. He also focuses on thermal systems simulation and optimization, cooling, water desalination, solar energy utilization, and enhancing energy efficiency. A prolific scholar, Ali has a robust track record of securing national and international research grants and awards. Ali has published extensively in scientific journals, advancing the field of energy systems and renewable technologies.

Dr. Shaban A.A. Mahmoud

Dr. Shaban A.A. Mahmoud is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Qassim University. He earned his B.Eng. in electrical engineering, specializing in electronics and communications, from Assiut University, Egypt, in 1998. He also obtained his M.Sc. in electronics from Aswan University, Egypt, in 2003, and his Ph.D. in Applied Science for Electronics and Materials from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 2009. Dr. Shaban's research interests encompass electronic materials, electronic and optoelectronic devices, MIMO antenna design, and Machine Learning.
